Customer Reviews: Read 9 more reviews... Bingo! January 4, 2007Elmagristy (Colorado) This CD has a variety of casino games plus bingo. It includes bells and whistles that make it more entertaining. Having the Monopoly theme also is fun. It replaced a prior copy that cracked in the CD drive - I missed it so much I hunted for another one. Different, but good December 29, 2003JT (Harrisburg) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful I finally found this game at a bargain price. I was hesitant to purchase it before, since I had the original Monopoly Casino, which I rated excellent (with a few drawbacks for game play); so my review highlights some of the good and bad comparisons. Now I haven't tryed all the games so far, (wasn't familiar with Sic-Bo, but after reading the rule book, this seems like Chuck-a luck with dice, a variant is played at Church carnivals and other out fraternal gatherings, with a wheel covering all 216 combinations, with straight beting only on 1 to 6. The Monopoly Vegas version adds more options. Sort of like roulette with dice. Can't wait to play it. Speaking of dice, I'm not a craps player-could never under stand the betting options. I guess it's like roulette; don't get me wrong-I know the basics-come out roll 7 or eleven and win; go for point, crap out on snake eyes, etc. I guess the rest are just bonus money-makers (or takers). The original at least had Mr. Monopoly emceeing. And concerning Roulette, well I think this one's a little worse. One wheel/table a monoply version of standard (pertinent graphical changes) . I had trouble figuring out the betting. Way different than the original or any other roulette game I have. I guess the stake is what you take to the table, and the bet (minimum $5) or multiples? is what you would lay on the table. I guess, I'll figure it out. Also I noticed that the bankroll didn't change. computer glitch? The Monopoly Roulette in the Original was better, fun, and different. So, agreeing with some reviews, I was only going to give this one less star since Mr. Monopoly is no where to be seen or heard, except on the Kings of cards. But then, this is Vegas, and not Atlantic City, so I guess that explains it. Which compared to the original sort of makes this just another casino game. No talking players either, just the dealers and bingo callers. However, the actaul games are a big improvement over the some of Originals, mainly because of the graphics. (Very vivid colors) and the variety of games. Did I notice that there was no 5 card draw? How can that happen? But the video poker is improved, as are the reel slots, sort of --machines that look like machines. Better interface on VP, an improvement. Should have more (maybe 6 or more extra with buy a play options) reel spinning slots-is it my imagination or most of them (except cover art) basically the same with different symbols? I see multi coin and multi line, so maybe not. I'm a huge slot fan so this is important to me. Actually slots are the major improvement and along with Bingo and keno (more on them later) is why I wanted this game. Progressives are a nice touch but the jackpot could be displayed better (dot matrix along the top of the machine like for real? Other Slot PC games do this. Again progressive video polker is different and good. Only Cardoza had one or two on theirs. The video slots leave something to be desired, different good; but I was expecting the usual 3 line 5 reel, 9 way with bonus rounds. Otherwise the slot and VP portion of the game reminds me of my old Hoyle game (1999 vintage). Still a lot of fun. Agree with the others, could be more, and more realistic--actual Monopoly games. Williams is cranking them out for real, they should have been incorporated into this. Now on to Bingo and Keno. This is why I got the game, hoping to uninstall My Masque B and K game. I'm not going to, because the unique feature of that (and on a Phantom EFX games-RD 2 has a video bingo)one can pick the patern and card price, and other wise is standard play at the table off a card bingo that we all know and love. Phantoms efx has a video bingo that places the wager denomination with each number drawn. Different). That's my only complaint about the Vegas Monopoly bingo game - Can't pick your own pattern; but playing tournaments on a pre-selected (by the computer) is fun and the price is good. Even the owners manual says this is the best way to profit. Very realistic play. Just like the Church basement. Even better (and this is by far the best) is the Keno game, which is identical to bar Keno in WVA and Md. Only the flashy graphics of the numbers popping up are missing. (Maybe the ball image like their bingo should have been added. The ticket looks like a state lottery ticket, and the winners get cashed and the losers get ripped. (the tickets that is, and the players too). Every one knows keno/lotto is the worst way to make money. By the way, the masque Keno (on the bingo game) is a video keno, usually found in some slot parlors. So that's my take. To summarize, Good- graphics, and realism of slots, video poker, bingo, and keno. Bad: No Mr. Monopoly and 5 card draw. But it occured to me that this is in Vegas, not Atlantic City. So, I stand corrected. I'll give back the star. And, the same rockin' toe tapping sound track has before is on this one too. who is that band? I'd like to get a CD of their music. It's wonderful, and I agree that sometimes the disc is worth playing just for the music. Monopoly Casino Vegas Edition March 3, 20036 out of 6 found this review helpful If you purchase this game and expect it to be like the Monopoly games you play in your favorite casino, you will be very disapointed. Even though several of the real casino game titles are listed in the description, they are NOT included on this game. You will not find any of the video slot machines, 9 liners or bonus games. I am very disapointed with this product. rip off of the name August 22, 2002N. Greenhouse-poles (vallejo, ca United States) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful For all you folks who just loved the 1st monoploy casino and have seen all the new versions in the casinos in vegas . You would think you couldnt be with out this one well think again . If I could send this one back I would. Where is Party Train or any of the new games? What no games with the famous bonus rounds . Hell the bonus rounds are what make Monoploy slot machines so much fun . If they are here I cant find them. Thought they would fix the interface when playing 1 coin machines you still have to hit bet 1 then spin . All in all fun program but just a ripoff on the name to get folks who love the real machines to spend money. If you dont own the 1st monoploy casnio buy that one and pass on this game Let's see some of the fun games March 31, 20029 out of 9 found this review helpful OK, when will one of the video game creators come up with some of the nickel/dime type slot games such as are in Vegas and elsewhere that give you bonus games and put some fun in the game. Already had Once Around, etc. etc. on earlier Monopoly disc. Unfortunaetly purchased from seller that does not allow returns. Let's get the newer bonus games on disk, or even some of the older games - Cash Crop, The Adams Family, Jeannie, Diamonds, Battleship, Jackpot Party, etc. | |||||||||||
